How to use INPD[1-4]

I want to use INPD1 to count a reed switch. Unforntunately there is no documentation for wiring this input.
Is there an interal pull-down or pull-up resistor connected to this input?
Does it work if i connect the reed switch to +5V and INPD or do I need to add pull-down or pull-up resistor externally?
