Firmware Upgrade Program fails

I have a LAN controller, HW2.0 SW2.00 which I want to upgrade to SW3.13

I have downloaded the LAN Controller Tools onto two different machines, but as soon as I begin the upgrade, the LAN Controller resets, then I get the message: "LAN Controller Tools has stopped working".

Can anyone please explain what is happening and how I can upgrade the unit? Thanks.
