Length of impulse is not crucial and is hard to be set preciously. I am using this for capturing photos on DSLR cameras, so when relay switch on, camera need to focus for a while and capture photo. So the switch on time could vary in a seconds (10 sec max, usualy less). Switch off time means, how often a photo will be captured, this could vary between 1 minute to an hour. In a meantime, I have tested usage with regular firmware. I have used watchdog function, set up an IP which cannot replay and set 10 mins interval for testing - no response led to 10 sec reset which cause camera to take a picture. But this is very bad solution, because it limits watchdog function itself for other purpouse (I need to test router and whole internet connection, because pictures are automatically backed up online).
