I am planning to use several of your pieces to control my very long term timelapse photography - together with other equipment it will take every 10 minutes new photo, for next two years

I can solve with your hardware variety of my tasks, like watchdog, overheating etc... But I also need to set up trigger for camera. So my question is, how hard is to add timer function to your firmware? I need to switch on relay periodically, for example every 10 minutes. (means I need a short impulse every period of time). Range in seconds will be fine, longest period I have ever used is couple of hours.
How hard is to write these timer function to your firmware, and what sould I do to convince you to make it?
