I was trying to get an old temperature sensor to talk to a modern PLC. It was pure frustration, data misalignments everywhere! Data formats were incompatible, and I had to write a custom translation layer. Finally, getting the sensor was like a Slice Master in getting the right cuts on the final product, that’s when I truly smiled.
