MODBUS ADRESSES
#1
Hi,

Is it possible to modify addresses in LK4 MODBUS SERVER ? I need to integrate it into a hypervisor that has fixed addresses and cannot map.

THX

Hi

You mean about MOdbus TCP? There are addresses which are connected with our sensors.
You should be able set this address on your PLC controller.

Hi,
Yes i meaned MODbus TCP, I didn't use a PLC controller, i use a VMS and i would like to interface LK4 instead of expensives Advantech or Moxa products, unfortunaletly the sofware only connect on fixed adresses without any possibility to custom. I just need to have INPD states, but as entry 1 the address is 0001, then i have to create 1999 inputs in the VMS to have INPD1 state ;-)
Thx

Integrating LK4 MODBUS SERVER into a hypervisor with fixed addresses can be tricky. Modifying addresses directly within LK4 might not be straightforward. Explore if LK4 offers address remapping or offset configurations. Perhaps, external tools could mediate between the hypervisor and LK4, like a fun challenge in Slope Game where you navigate obstacles. Consider alternatives to ensure smooth communication, especially if avoiding address conflicts is crucial for your setup.
